Reflex and HMP/YOI Brinsford involved in 'Hope for World'

Over the summer Reflex delivered accredited arts courses in HMP/YOI Brinsford. As a result of these projects, young adults there wrote and recorded two tracks to raise money for the victims of disasters in Haiti and Pakistan. ‘Hope for the World’ - the name for the two tracks - came out of a passionate response in HMP/YOI Brinsford to the recent tragedies in Haiti and Pakistan. The young people wanted to make a different to those affected, something the Reflex director called ‘a real inspiration’. 'Hope for the World' has now been released, with proceeds going towards the relief efforts.

Stephanie Roberts-Bibby, Governor at HMP/YOI Brinsford said: “I am really proud of the young adults who have been involved with this project. Not only have they acquired accreditations which will contribute to helping them gain training and employment on release, a key factor in reducing reoffending, but they have acknowledged the devastation caused by these two disasters and have decided to do all they can to help those who have been affected.”

Both tracks can be downloaded from major online music stores, such as iTunes. Search for ‘Hope for the World’ or click here.
