People make local contacts at the Caring for Ex-Offenders training in Southampton

In March Caring for Ex-Offenders ran CFEO Coach training at Victory Gospel Church in Southampton. It was a great success with people from churches all over the South East attending to learn about how to build positive relationships with ex-offenders in their churches and local congregations.

We learned from Mark, from Catalyst Trust, about the details of mentoring and took part in interactive sessions testing out our new skills! The highlight of the day was seeing people from different churches talking about how they resolved problems, and suggesting new ideas for their ministry. It was great to hear the more experienced and those just starting out encouraging one another and sharing their challenges and successes. We also heard a testimony from an ex-offender who was welcomed into a church community, and how this has helped him.
