Awesome Training Day in Kent

Following an Envisioning Evening in Gillingham, Kent, earlier this year, St Mark’s hosted a CFEO Training Day on Saturday 24th September.

Twenty-six people attended the training day from seven different churches with an exciting mix of denominations represented.

We had a brilliant day grappling with issues that both churches and ex-offenders might face when working together, with some lively and challenging discussions. It was encouraging to see churches engaging so passionately on the subject of working with ex-offenders and so fired up about this area of ministry.

Church groups had an opportunity to do some action planning towards the end of the day, looking forward to possible next steps for their congregations and Caring for Ex Offenders, so watch this space! We are really excited to seeing how this ministry develops in each of the churches and working together in this.
